Tour Information
Morskie Oko is the largest (and most beautiful) lake in the Tatra Mountains. It sits 1,395m above sea level and can be reached via a 9 km (each way) hike along a paved road, a journey which takes a fit hiker at least two hours each direction. Horse drawn carriages provide a “taxi service” to a place within 15 minute walk of the lake. It is one of the most beautiful vistas available for a short stay tourist in the Highland region.
The trip requires proper footwear and clothing if taken outside of summer months.
Zakopane is a resort town south of Krakow, at the base of the Tatras Mountains. It’s a popular departure point for winter sports and summertime mountain climbing and hiking.
The town is also known for its wooden chalets, symbols of Zakopane-style architecture. Our tour is designed to introduce you to the sights, culture and flavours of the Highland region, of which Zakopane is the heart.
